Pie and Whiskey

The Pie & Whiskey reading series started in Spokane, Washington with the idea of "serving good pie, good whiskey, and good writers reading prose about pie and whiskey." 

Write something that includes pie AND whiskey. Prose, fiction, nonfiction, poetry. However you incorporate pie and whiskey is up to you. Keep it under 1000 words, and be prepared to read it to the audience on June 10th. We'll choose 13 readers for the inaugural event. Pie! Bring one (or three) with you on June 10th! You can make your own. Or buy one (or three). We love our friendly local pie-makers at Pie Oh My, La Mancha Coffeehouse, and the not-for-profit Laughing Bear Bakery. The latter provides jobs for ex-offenders and members of at-risk communities. 

Friends! Bring them! You don't have to write anything to come out and have a great grown-up night of booze and butter and a lot of entertainment. $5 cover includes pie and a shot.
