Race & Heritage in American Music
Where we come from matters. In the United States, our music provides many stories and lessons that help us better understand where we come from--and how racism obscures our similarities while highlighting our differences. In this workshop, Joe Seamons will frame and facilitate a constructive discussion to explore strategies for celebrating our heritage while confronting systemic racism.
