Hillary Fitz Band "A Vibrant Shade of Blue" Album Launch

The Hillary Fitz Band is releasing its first full-length album, A Vibrant Shade of Blue, with an album launch concert 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 at the Grandel Theatre. The band is led by St. Louis singer-songwriter Hillary Fitz on vocals, guitars and harmonica, with band members Mark Hochberg (violin), Drew Lance (drums), Matt Lyons (electric guitars) and Chris Turnbaugh (bass). Fitz, who wrote all the songs on the album, drew inspiration from the many struggles in her relationship with music. The band has been performing many of the songs live to sold-out crowds, most recently at the three-day Music at the Intersection event in September.
