Ptah Williams Trio at Joe's Cafe!

Well, what is there to say about these three cats? If you don't know these guys, come learn your lessons. These are three of the most prolific jazz players in the history of STL. Our city has seen a lot of great jazz. From Scott Joplin to Miles Davis to Oliver Lake to Pat Metheny to Jeremy Davenport. These three men have played as much at a high level as anyone in the history of this city. They are an incredibly important part of the music culture in this town. (All American music starts with jazz.) Darrell played with Acoustik Element at Joe's recently and absolutely stole the show. Ptah plays various solo gigs and collaborations around town as a working musician but is most at home with this trio which has played together for about 40 years. Gary Sykes plays with different groups as well but again, these guys are his home and he is simply one of the best jazz drummers to ever live. These three guys happen to live in STL and we are very lucky to be able to host them at Joe's Cafe. We have wanted to do this for a long time and we finally get our chance.
