How can my organization meet its marketing goals by underwriting on KDHX?
Sponsorship and underwriting on KDHX is a smart, effective and affordable use of marketing and public relations dollars, whether for long-term positioning or to build top-of-mind awareness. It is also a great use of co-op dollars and compliment to other forms of advertising including television, billboards, print advertising and direct mail campaigns. And better yet, while increasing listener awareness of your business or organization, you can support independent radio programming and community initiatives in St. Louis.
Underwriting programming on KDHX 88.1 FM and KDHX.org helps support an independent community playing a diversity of local music not heard anywhere else. Even better, when you support this respected St. Louis institution, your business gains a significant marketing opportunity. KDHX delivers a highly sought after demographic that genuinely cares about supporting the organizations that support KDHX.
What is Underwriting?
Underwriting is the name the FCC has given to on-air announcements acknowledging community radio’s supporters from the business and non-profit community. Underwriting announcements are brief, factual descriptions of a business, non-profit, or event and are an important source of funding for KDHX Community Media. While contributions from listeners are a major source of revenue, underwriting support from the business and nonprofit communities is just as important.
