Volunteer with The Borgen Project - Make a Global ImpactSt. Louis County Library - Daniel Boone Branch Join us on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Daniel Boone Branch Library in Ellisville, MO for a 30-minute volunteer info session with The Borgen Project, a nonprofit fighting to end extreme poverty. Learn how you can support global change through remote volunteer roles in advocacy, fundraising, writing, and community outreach. Hosted by a local ambassador, the event will include an overview of The Borgen Project’s mission, available opportunities, and how to take immediate action. Admission is free of charge—no registration is required, and all are welcome to attend. Attendees will receive takeaway resources and links to begin volunteering right away. Love is in the AirJoin conductor Ed Jacobs and the Metropolitan Orchestra of St. Louis for live classical music on Saturday, August 30 at 6:00 PM at John Burroughs School. Jacobs has crafted a delightful program entitled “Love is in The Air.” Bring your friends and family to this free, outdoor concert in the Maritz Quadrangle in the center of the campus, along with a lawn chair and picnic basket, and let MOSL take you on a musical journey of love, including Elgar's "Salut d'Amour," Dvořák's haunting second “Slavonic Dance,” selections from Bizet's “Carmen”, Puccini’s beloved “Nessun dorma” and selections by Strauss and Duke Ellington.
