Hello, I am Your Lady Edie Bee of KDHX’s RSVP on Sunday evenings from 10 PM to midnight. Every week, I bring you a soothing blend of straight-ahead jazz, vocal jazz, and soul-jazz.  

When you think of volunteering you think of people with extra time on their hands. Not the case with me, trust me, my life is full of stuff to do. But volunteering at KDHX is lifesaving for me. A little overly dramatic you say? Not at all. I spent almost 30 years as a radio announcer . . . loved every minute of it, the good, the bad, and the utterly ridiculous. And after a 20-year hiatus, I realized that playing someone’s favorite song on the radio every day was what brought me happiness and was my life. A life that I loved and missed.

Volunteering at KDHX has become my medicine! Putting together a radio show every Sunday, that comes from my heart, is the perfect cure for me. And being on the air during these “trying times,” gives me the opportunity to give back, and show my gratitude to our listeners by playing someone’s favorite song, or a song that will inspire or heal. 

KDHX is my medicine, one dose every Sunday from 10 PM until midnight is really all I can give right now, and I’m honored. Being cast in a lineup of legendary musicians, and local music historians is not only gratifying but challenging, a challenge I welcome each week. Yep . . . KDHX is my medicine for happiness . . . medicine for my soul! I hope it is for you as well.
