Battle of the Corporate Bands

Each year, the St. Louis business community comes together to help the United Way of Greater St. Louis make its annual fundraising drive sing. But, did you know that some STL business leaders actually sing for the United Way? And it’s making a difference … to the tune of nearly $250,000.

The 14th annual United Way Battle of the Corporate Bands is set for Friday, Oct. 11, at the Old Rock House, 1200 S. Seventh St. The event is open to the public, with all ticket and proceeds from merchandise sales supporting United Way of Greater St. Louis, which helps to improve the lives of more than 1 million people in the St. Louis region each year. 

To date, these musical events have raised more than $230,000 for the United Way. We’re hoping to top the quarter-of-a-million mark this year, with bands from FleishmanHillard, Daugherty Business Solutions, Edward Jones, MasterCard and Safety National vying for rock supremacy. The audience decides the winner by voting for their favorite band with United Way donations.
