Printed with Purpose: Zine Show + Book and Risograph Art
The history of zines is one that is rich and diverse, it represents a practice that is accessible and carries the potential for broad impact. In Printed with Purpose Gallery 210@FAB presents zines and artists’ books that explore a vast array of topics and functions. This exhibition provides an opportunity for UMSL’s and the broader St. Louis communities to gain insight as to how artists are using these formats and processes towards works of expression, provocation, and dissemination. In the spirit of multiples and high production, Printed with Purpose will also showcase Risograph Art and offer a workshop to our students demonstrating how the Risograph serves as a powerful tool for contemporary printing and art making.
Printed with Purpose was curated by Lauren Cardenás, Assistant Professor of Printmaking at Louisiana State University.
