Vincent Price in HOUSE OF WAX (1953) in 3-D!
“Arguably the best of all 3-D movies!” -E-Film Critic
The most successful 3D movie of the 1950s and the first produced by a major Hollywood studio, Warner Bros.’s HOUSE OF WAX (1953) brought movie audiences to a new dimension of terror! St. Louis’s favorite son, Vincent Price, delivers a lip-smackingly terrifying turn as disfigured wax artist Henry Jarrod who takes murderous vengeance on those who’ve wronged him in this horror classic. A remake of 1933’s Mystery of the Wax Museum, House of Wax was a huge hit in its day and remains a sensational demonstration of the power of 3D filmmaking, with fists, can-can dancers, and paddle-balls leaping right off the screen.
This film will be presented in a newly-created anaglyph 3D version. Red-blue 3D glasses will be provided. This screening is kid-friendly!
