A Very Rad Palentine's Day

The Foundry Art Centre is excited to announce A Very Rad Palentine’s Day, a special installment of its First Friday series, on February 4th, from 5-8pm. Foundry studio artist Jessie Schoenrock of Rad & Sad Art will “take over” the Foundry to celebrate the joy of having PALS. Guests will be given a demonstration of the basics of throwing clay and have the chance to make a bud vase or wine tumbler, with Jessie right there to help with inspiration and know-how.

After throwing on the potter’s wheel, guests are invited to make their own candle with The Owl Perch. The local candle maker will have a candle-pouring station available for guests to purchase their own bespoke candle with choice of scent and vintage vessel.

The Baue Children’s Gallery will have free art activities including Valentine’s Day card making and custom vinyl signs. The Foundry bar will have a variety of offerings including a signature Palentine’s Day cocktail. R&B musician Terrance Wafer will provide the soundtrack for the evening.

Exhibitions by Rachel Ferguson, Judy Duggan-McCormack, and Kalven Duncan continue in the Main Galleries, and Jody Williams’ exhibition is on view in the Ameristar Gallery.

Registration for wheel throwing is required. To register, visit https://radandsadart.com/.

Events and exhibitions at the Foundry Art Centre are free and open to the public.
