Perseid Meteor Shower and Bright Planet Viewing

The St. Louis Astronomical Society and Jefferson College in Hillsboro, MO will host a night sky viewing of the Perseid meteor shower, with telescope viewing of Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, on Saturday, August 11, 8:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., weather permitting, on the Jefferson College campus, 1100 Viking Drive, Hillsboro, MO 63050. Free admission. Viewing will be in a sports field near the college entrance. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and light jackets. Skies must be clear or only partly cloudy.
