Black Mirror presents White Rabbit, Red Rabbit, a play by Nassim Soleimanpour.
No rehearsals. No set. No director.
A different actor reads the script cold—for the first and last time—at every performance.
Imagine being 29 and forbidden to leave your country. Playwright Nassim Soleimanpour dissects the experience of a whole generation in a wild, utterly original play. Barred from travel, he turned his isolation into a theatre experience that brings actor and audience together through uncharted terrain. Actors include Ellie Schwetye, Evan Turek and Jared Goudsmit.
Black Mirror Theatre was founded in 2010 in St. Louis, Missouri with these guiding principles: To present productions of substance with clarity and simplicity on topics of social and economic justice; to provide opportunities in professional theatre for students and alumni of St. Louis Community College; and to help combat childhood hunger in our region.
From the playwright:
URGENT — All media and press agents: This play is NOT overtly political, and should not be portrayed as such. It operates on a deeper, metaphoric level, and very expressly avoids overt political comment. We therefore ask the press to be judicious in their reportage.
