River Styx Reading Series: Allison Cundiff & Ted Mathys

Allison Cundiff and Ted Mathys will read from their work. Their books will be sold at the event, as will issues of River Styx. This event is open to the public. $5 general admission, $4 seniors and students.

Allison Cundiff is an adjunct professor of English at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, and an English teacher at Parkway North High School in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Her publications include two books of poetry, Otherings (Golden Antelope Press, 2016) and In Short, A Memory of the Other on a Good Day, co-authored with Steven Schreiner (Golden Antelope Press, 2014), articles in The Pragmatic Buddhist and Feminist Teacher, and poetry in The Chariton Review. She lives in St. Louis.

Ted Mathys is the author of three books of poetry: Null Set (2015), The Spoils (2009), and Forge (2005), all from Coffee House Press. He is the recipient of fellowships and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Poetry Society of America, and his work has appeared in American Poetry Review, Boston Review, Conjunctions, Denver Quarterly, PBS NewsHour, and elsewhere. He co-curates the 100 Boots Poetry Series at the Putlitzer Arts Foundation. He is the recipient of both a 2017 Literature Fellowship from the National Endowment of the Arts and an Artists Fellowship from the Regional Arts Commission. He lives in St. Louis and teaches at Saint Louis University.
