Alligator Wine is a relatively new Grateful Dead tribute band made up of veteran St. Louis musicians who decided to put their own spin on the sacred catalogue. Consisting of a unique make up of one guitar, keys, drums, amplified harmonica, and bass, the band has a relatively "swamp groove" approach to the music. This makes sense since the band is made up of the members of St. Louis band "The Scandaleros" as well as some friends from other notable acts. The band also delivers strong 3 and 4 part vocal harmonies as well while drawing from all over the Dead catalogue from multiple eras. They often welcome notable guests and shared the stage with members of The Big Wu, The Schwag, Jake's Leg, Dark Star Orchestra, The Funky Butt Brass Band, The Mighty Pines, The Provels, Grass Fed Mule, Madahoochi, and more. Alligator Wine routinely plays shows at notable venues such as The Broadway Oyster Bar, The Old Rock House, The Atomic Cowboy, The Venice Cafe, Pops Blue Moon, and more.
