Marleyfest 13

For thirteen years Murder City Players have produced and performed “Marleyfest”, a concert dedicated to celebrating the music of Bob Marley. This year’s event will be held at Delmar Hall on February 7th. In addition to performing Bob Marley classics, this year’s show will include the music of other reggae legends, the likes of Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh (both from the original Wailers), Dennis Brown, Culture and Gregory Isaacs.

Murder City Players have been bringing their brand of reggae to St. Louis audiences since 1983. The band has been fronted by Tony Rome since its inception and now includes accompanying vocalist, Shea Alise. Included in this year’s lineup:

- Al Gibbs of Chicago's long-standing reggae band Dub Dis

- Russ Rankin of the stalwart St. Louis band DUBTRONIX

- KDHX DJ Soul Selector, Tom Ray, master of ceremonies who will be spinning reggae classics throughout the night.
